SmartCash help

Get useful cash-flow answers without a call

Follow a short guide, reopen setup, or email us. The guides and videos below show the current standalone SmartCash interface and were checked on 20 September 2026.

These guides cover SmartCash's standalone web app, so they do not ask you to connect Shopify. On Shopify, SmartCash opens inside Shopify Admin, where eligible fully captured Shopify payments and refund updates sync into the cashflow workspace. Expenses and other cash items are still recorded or imported separately.

Guides

Videos are silent, short, and include English captions matching the written steps.

Create your first trustworthy forecast

Add real cash totals, create the forecast, and understand what the estimate can and cannot tell you.

  1. Open Setup and create or choose your workspace.
  2. Add money-in and money-out totals from at least two different months. You can also import a CSV or paste a list.
  3. Select Create my forecast. SmartCash records completion only after the forecast succeeds.
  4. Check the method and the history used. More complete history can make the result more useful.
  5. Treat the result as an estimate, not a guarantee, accounting advice, or financial advice.

Test a what-if scenario

Compare a proposed revenue, cost, or one-off change with your saved records.

  1. Open What If from your workspace.
  2. Choose a prepared question or enter a custom monthly revenue change, monthly expense change, and one-off cost.
  3. Select See What Happens.
  4. Review the saved assumptions, projected cash path, and estimated break-even time.
  5. Try a cautious version as well as your expected version before deciding.

Import or paste cash records

Move appropriate dated money-in and money-out records from a spreadsheet, bank export, or bookkeeping tool.

  1. Open Import in the workspace menu.
  2. Choose Upload File for CSV, Add One for a single movement, or Paste List for copied rows.
  3. Match date, amount, direction, and description columns when asked.
  4. Review skipped rows and fix any dates or amounts that could not be read.
  5. Return to the dashboard and check totals before using a forecast or report.

Download clearly labelled example CSV to inspect the column shape. It contains invented figures; do not mix it with your real workspace records.

Manage email and billing preferences

Change optional product email choices or review your direct SmartCash subscription.

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Choose Notifications to change optional setup, trial, or weekly emails.
  3. Choose Billing to review or change a direct SmartCash subscription.
  4. A preference or unsubscribe change applies to future optional email; account and security mail stays separate.

Sending files safely

SmartCash support does not currently accept financial attachments inside the app. Do not email bank passwords, card details, or unredacted statements. Tell us the export format and the help you need; we will confirm a suitable next step.
